A Happy Life Story Does Mean An Easy Life Story

“A happy life story does not mean an easy life story.

The best thing that you can do is to follow your heart. Take risks. Don’t just make the safe and easy choices because you’re afraid of what might happen – if you do, nothing will ever happen. You must work hard to make your life as beautiful as the dreams that dance through your imagination, while at the same time respecting each step along the way.”  Check out the rest of the 12 Little Known Laws of Happiness.

I couldn’t agree with this more. It was strange to me that people could go through the worst imaginable things in life and then say they wouldn’t change any of it. My adult life was ‘smooth sailing’, until a few years ago. And guess what, I can say the same thing now…. I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m not yet where I want to be emotionally, mentally or even physically but I am so much closer than I was 5 years ago. I’m incredibly grateful for horrible circumstances I could not change to get me on the path to be a stronger, independent person filled with true joy and happiness. Without lemons, my life would never have gotten this sweet…. and it’s only getting sweeter. The happiest lives are usually not achieved traveling the easy road. Respect your steps, no matter how difficult they are right now, cause pretty soon those steps will turn into the most beautiful dance.
